Everyone seems to want to lose weight fast. I’d rather show you how to lose weight permanently. Not all fast weight loss methods are healthy and most of them don’t work long term. Still, a few methods do make the cut. So here is how to lose weight fast…
3 Fast Weight Loss Tips
1. Detoxify Your Diet
Most people willingly consume a variety of low grade poisons throughout the day. Chemical compounds designated as sugar substitutes (like aspartame) top the list. The fastest and easiest way to detox your system is to drink lots of water. Hydrate yourself by following my 1 day weight loss challenge. I do it every few months and always feel great afterward. This is an important step in flushing your system of impurities that may be causing you to hold onto excess weight.
2. Eat More Frequently
Yes, that’s right. You can lose weight quickly when you start eating smaller meals spaced a few hours apart. This may seem counterintuitive, but skipping meals in favor of eating just one big one actually slows down your metabolism and makes it harder to lose weight (even if you’re consuming fewer calories). Want to burn fat fast? Stop overloading your blood sugar levels and start evening out your food intake throughout the day.
3. Move Your Body More
There’s just no getting around it. You’ve got to exercise on a daily basis if you want to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable manner (yes, I know this article is supposed to be about losing weight fast, but I still want you do do it in a way that helps you long term). Twenty to thirty minutes of aerobic exercise per day is a good benchmark. You can use the program outlined in my book as an easy way to get started.
Bonus points for adding some muscle building elements into your workout. Muscle weighs more than fat so people often think that it doesn’t actually help them to lose weight. In fact, building muscle will give you more energy and speed up your metabolism which burns fat faster.
Use Your Head
The easiest way to lose weight fast is to reprogram your thoughts to support your new healthy eating habits. Just knowing what to do is not enough to insure that you will actually do them on a daily basis. For that, you need to change the way you think about food and release your emotional attachments to eating in the first place. Change your mental habits and you’ll find that your eating habits change automatically. And what could be better than that?
